We welcome Andrew J Smith to Art in the Park. Andrew who live in Bondi takes us through some of the paintings he will be exhibiting at Art in the Park this August:
St Mary’s Cathedral seen from the Domain
“Often I look at this scene as I walk to or from the Art Gallery and value the quietness and the beauty as the Cathedral can be glimpsed through the magnificent Moreton Bay Figs.” say’s Andy. We are sure this will look beautiful under the Moreton Bay Figs at Lyne Park this August.
Sailing on a Sunny Weekend
“I frequently watch the sailing boats as I sit at Nielsen Park and try to drink in the action and drama (as I sip a coffee!).”
Cattle on the way home from Goulburn
“My brother lives near Goulburn and some of the pastoral scenes are so impressive.” said Andy. It certainly is a beautiful pastoral scene.
Sydney Harbour from Point Piper
“I took in this scene and view of the sailing boat and harbourside house from (if I recall correctly) from Duff Reserve, Point Piper.”
Andrew works in acrylic on canvas, although they do have the look of oils.
